The storytelling workshops of the Shadow en Route project were implemented in Italy, Greece, and Türkiye, engaging 36 young participants aged 11 to 15 from both migrant and host communities. These workshops followed the project’s capacity building phase and were designed to apply shadow theatre as a tool for creative expression, dialogue, and inclusion.
Led by trained facilitators and shadow theatre practitioners, the workshops provided a space for participants to explore personal and collective narratives through light, shadow, movement, and storytelling. Each group developed original shadow theatre scenes inspired by their own experiences, memories, and imaginations—giving voice to diverse perspectives through a shared artistic process.
