The capacity building activities of the Shadow en Route project were implemented in Italy and Turkiye, with three workshops held in each country. These activities were led by leading shadow theatre organizations: Teatro Gioco Vita, Sovint, and Synkoino Coop.
The program offered intensive training opportunities for artists, educators, and cultural workers, combining practical experimentation with theoretical insights. Each workshop focused on different aspects of shadow theatre, including performance techniques, dramaturgy, visual design, and community engagement.
By bringing together traditional expertise and innovative approaches, the capacity building activities contributed to strengthening professional skills, fostering intercultural exchange, and building a transnational network of practitioners committed to the renewal and sustainability of shadow theatre.
